we actually shot this video over a year ago, January 2nd 2016 to be precise, and it was edited a month later, but in editing it i realised I was missing one shot, so i set a reminder to record that shot in order to finish the video, 10 months later and the shot still hadn't been recorded, but i had already had the video mostly mixed and graded, so i set several aggressive reminders and on 1st of December 2016 I recorded the missing shot and finished my work on the video. here it is to enjoy now

Every year we enter New Zealand's annual 48hours competition. 48hours is a crazy weekend. Teams have to write shoot edit and deliver a short film that includes a provided character, line of dialogue, prop, technical element, and genre. This year we had to incorporate Harper harrison a thoughtless character, bread, the line "oh really" and a match cut into our "shock ending" movie

Late last year we arranged to make a Music video for a track of Matt Horne's debut EP Love and War. I went for the song RELAPSE. I liked how hauntingly beautiful the track was. The image of Matt peforming to an empty hall quickly came to me. I tracked down a suitable hall and organised a date. It took our small but efficient crew a full day and most of the night to film the two sections of the video.

We shot the video in a community hall, with around $120 of KFC, we achieved the super slow motion by shooting on an F5 at 180fps. (then ironically we speed up over half the footage!)

Just like we have done for the last few years we entered a team into the Rialto Channel 48Hours Furious Filmmaking competition. In previous years we went into the weekend with a technical idea or some kind of X factor previously worked out. this year though we decided to play the competition exactly the way it was meant to be done, with zero preperation

While we where sitting around one day between setups on a different shoot Dave and I came up with a wacky web video idea. A few weeks later we shot it and a few weeks after that it was edited!

Just like the rest of the world I was blown away by Avatar in 2009, I quickly started learning everything i could about Stereoscopic imaging and in mid 2011 we stuck two canon 550Ds on a plank of wood and shot a 3D test.
